Role Description

• Our product range includes external debt and Credit Default Swaps (CDS), FX, rates, options and the more complex cross-market derivatives covering multiple Developed Markets jurisdictions

• Funding is a trading function that optimizes funding requirements by effectively managing the supply and the demand of cash across various tenors. You will be assisting in the management of the Funding book by analyzing relevant data, liaising with other trading desks and the Treasury and running projects to maximize the efficiency of the Funding function

Your key responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to generate sources of funding and deployment of funds across Global and wider Developed Markets regions
• Identify various costs incurred by the business including Treasury charges, liquidity costs, etc and create tools to optimize the same
•  Build tools to optimize funding by matching assets and liabilities across businesses
• Monitor available cash assets for repo, cross border funding / FX Swap opportunities, monetize funding opportunities
• Manage bilateral margins from external counterparties, and build allocation tools
• Partner with onshore branch traders to gather data and collaborate on understanding and improve their funding profile
•  Develop the FCF infrastructure to a point where the funding supply is optimized for cost while being robust enough to meet any funding demand including ad-hoc requests related to asset side balance sheet increases
•  Monitor and analyse balance sheet for the business including its key components from regulatory perspective
• Understand business’ Assets and Liabilities positions; its impact on various regulatory frameworks such as CRD4, RWA, etc
• Build MIS and data analysis tools to monitor various aspects of cash demand and supply

Your skills and experience

• Good understanding of macro economies, derivatives markets (including FX and Rates market)
• Strong project management / organizational skills
• Strong work ethic and candidate must possess the hunger to learn and grow
• Strong excel skills preferable
• Strong communication skills and clarity of thoughts
• Individual with a sense of commitment & motivation for self-development along with attention to detail

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
