Job Description
Senior MES Functional Consultant : Exp Level 10+ Years
Seeking a client-facing Siemens Opcenter Discrete MES Functional Consultant to support client’s manufacturing stakeholders as the MES program scales to new production lines, translating shop-floor business requirements into MES functional designs. candidate should have sound domain knowledge of manufacturing-process , solution architecture, implementation .
Key Responsibilities 
•    Gather and document business and functional requirements for each new production line's MES rollout.
•    Define use cases for work order execution, production monitoring, downtime/quality management, and traceability.
•    Perform fit-gap analysis against the current Opcenter configuration and recommend functional solutions.
•    Prepare functional design specifications and functional test scenarios, and support scenario/integration testing.
•    Collaborate with Development, Integration, and Change Management to ensure functional designs are implementable and adoptable.
•    Support training, Functional Testing, UAT, and go-live activities for each rollout wave, working closely with the Change Management function.
•    Act as a day-to-day liaison between client production/business stakeholders and the Birlasoft technical team.

Preferred Qualifications 
•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. 
•    10+ years of MES functional consulting experience, ideally with Siemens Opcenter or comparable MES platforms.
•    Strong understanding of manufacturing processes: production execution, quality, traceability, and material/inventory flows.
•    Experience preparing BRDs, functional requirement and design specifications, and test scenarios.
•    Familiarity with ISA-95 and MES/shop-floor digitalization best practices.
•    Excellent stakeholder communication skills, with experience operating in client-facing, onsite roles.
