We are currently seeking a Tech Consultant - Playwright Automation Engineer to join our team in Pune, Mahārāshtra (IN-MH), India (IN).

Job Title: Techn Consultant – Playwright Automation Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Playwright Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation solutions for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Playwright, TypeScript/JavaScript, API testing, automation framework development, and CI/CD integration.

The role will collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, QA, and DevOps teams to improve automation coverage and ensure high-quality software delivery in an Agile environment.

Day to Day Job Duties

• Design, develop, and maintain Playwright-based automation frameworks for web applications.
• Develop automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Automate functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end test scenarios.
• Develop reusable automation components, fixtures, utilities, and test-data solutions.
• Perform API testing and automation using Playwright, Postman, or similar tools.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Implement cross-browser testing, parallel execution, reporting, retries, and failure analysis.
• Review business and functional requirements and identify appropriate automation coverage.
• Analyze test failures and perform root cause analysis to identify application, automation, or environment issues.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to automation coding standards.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application testability and overall product quality.
• Support release validation and production readiness activities.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, estimation, and sprint planning.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Engineering, and Test Automation.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright, TypeScript/JavaScript, and web application automation.
• 3+ years of experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks and automated regression suites.
• 2+ years of experience with API automation, CI/CD integration, and backend/database validation.

• Frameworks: Page Object Model, Fixtures, Data-Driven Testing
• Testing: Functional, Regression, Integration, E2E, Smoke Testing
• CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps
• Version Control: Git, GitHub/GitLab
• Defect Management: Jira, Azure DevOps or similar
• Database: SQL and backend data validation

Nice to Have

• Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or other automation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Playwright fixtures, browser contexts, network interception, tracing, and parallel execution.
• Experience with BDD/Cucumber frameworks.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience executing automated tests in CI/CD and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of accessibility and visual regression testing.
• Experience with performance testing tools.
• Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, or other enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
