C-II | Senior Group Manager - Marine & Vessel PlanningRole Snapshot: Experience: 12+ Years | Role Focus: Enterprise Planning Governance | Primary Accountability: Multi-terminal planning strategy, Autostow governance, analytics, risk controlPosition SummaryDrives enterprise vessel planning governance and maturity across terminals. Owns planning strategy, advanced methodologies, Autostow governance, N4 optimization, planning analytics, operational risk controls, and senior stakeholder engagement.Role Focus Areas • Multi-terminal planning strategy and governance • N4 optimization, Autostow governance, and analytics • Productivity benchmarking, risk controls, and transformation Pre-Arrival Planning • Govern vessel setup and validation of NSD, BAPLIE, load, and discharge files in Navis N4. • Ensure accuracy of vessel profiles, bay plans, berth windows, stack weights, and service configurations. • Oversee carrier issue resolution for DG, reefer, OOG, breakbulk, and documentation discrepancies. Discharge Planning • Define enterprise planning standards that optimize crane splits, reduce restows, and improve productivity. • Oversee sequencing quality, rail discharge planning, and IMDG compliance. • Drive consistency in discharge methodologies across shifts and terminals. Load Planning • Govern compliance with stability, lashing, stack weight, and segregation requirements. • Advance dual-cycle strategies, yard-to-quay efficiency, and schedule protection. • Review planning exceptions, inventory accuracy, projections, and cutoff discipline. Execution & Risk Management • Provide executive oversight during major vessel operations and disruptions. • Support critical escalations involving carriers, operations, and terminal leadership. • Implement controls for operational risk, exception handling, and planning governance. Post-Operation & Compliance • Govern BAPLIE/EDI quality, reconciliation standards, and reporting accuracy. • Review productivity, delay, utilization, and turnaround performance trends. • Ensure compliance with DG, IMDG, Coast Guard, and terminal regulations. Planning Excellence & Transformation • Lead planner certification, capability development, and knowledge retention. • Drive automation, analytics, process excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Sponsor N4 enhancement, Autostow governance, benchmarking, and operational transformation programs. Required Qualifications • 12+ years in shipping, logistics, terminal operations, marine planning, or operations leadership. • Strong leadership in governance, transformation, advanced planning, and operational excellence. • Advanced Navis N4, Autostow, BAPLIE/MOVINS, vessel stability, and planning analytics expertise. • Experience managing senior stakeholders, risk frameworks, productivity, training, and automation initiatives. • Strong/excellent verbal (to make outbound calls and answer inbound calls) and email communication skills.• Mandatory Gate/Yard/Terminal experiencePreferred Qualifications • High-volume container terminal and multi-crane vessel operations experience. • Knowledge of N4 profiles, service setup, configuration feedback, testing, and governance. • Exposure to yard planning, ship clerking, marine planning, and terminal operations.
