Senior Business Analyst - Commissions/Varicent, Alteryx, SQL

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Business Analyst to join our sales compensation operations team. This role is central to translating complex business, financial, and operational data into clear, actionable insights that drive sound decision-making across the organisation. 

This position is designed for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of business, finance, and technology, someone who can quickly grasp a business problem, dig into the underlying data and systems, and translate findings into tangible recommendations that stakeholders can act on. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to proactively identify opportunities, build robust and repeatable analytical processes, and tell the story behind the data with clarity and impact. 

About the Role 

• Partner with stakeholders across functions to understand business challenges and translate them into clear, well-scoped analytical requirements. 

• Deliver data-driven business and financial insights that enable stakeholders to make sound, timely decisions. 

• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and drive solution building from concept through delivery. 

• Build robust, repeatable analytical processes that ensure a high standard of accuracy and timeliness in reporting and analysis. 

• Lead and support projects that answer both strategic and tactical business questions. 

• Quickly grasp ambiguous or complex business problems and translate them into structured, actionable outputs. 

• Recommend approaches to problem-solving grounded in facts, figures, and data, and communicate findings through compelling storytelling (the "why, what, how") to influence decisions. 

• Integrate and manage the interplay between systems, technology, and people to support scalable analytical solutions. 

• Navigate financial systems and understand data interdependencies across multiple platforms to ensure consistent, trustworthy analysis. 

• Leverage AI and automation tools to streamline analysis, accelerate reporting, and surface insights faster. 

• Operate with agility, adapting quickly as priorities, systems, or business needs evolve. 

About You

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly to varied audiences. 

• Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational and functional issues and challenges. 

• Proven ability to integrate and manage the relationship between systems, technology, and people. 

• Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight. 

• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, partnership-oriented approach to working with stakeholders. 

• Agility and adaptability in a fast-changing business environment. 

• Sharp analytical thinking, able to interpret varied inputs, build clear requirements, and partner effectively to solve business problems. 

• Curiosity and comfort experimenting with new AI tools and technologies to improve ways of working. 

• Finance and accounting knowledge is a strong plus. 

Skills & Experience (Required) 

• Working knowledge of Varicent and SFDC. 

• Proficiency with BI and automation tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or SQL. 

• Hands-on experience using AI tools to support analysis, reporting, or process automation. 

• Solid understanding of financial systems and how data flows and interconnects across multiple platforms. 

• Demonstrated ability to manage volume and maintain quality and accuracy under deadline pressure. 

• Experience in Commission Process is an added advantage. 

• 5+ years of work experience in the above skills
