Job Description Summary:

ChangeMan developer with open systems experience to drive our VSCode extension and Git integration roadmap

We're building the bridge between mainframe change management model and modern open-systems delivery, VSCode tooling, Git-native workflows, and CI/CD platform engineering. You'll own how mainframe software delivery connects to the Git and CI/CD ecosystem going forward.

What you'll do

• Design the Git-native workflows (branching, merge, PR models) that translate ChangeMan SCM concepts into Git idioms
• Move CI/CD beyond scripted pipelines toward platform engineering: trunk-based development support, GitOps as the deployment interface, and reusable delivery patterns across teams
• Design and build a control plane/abstraction layer connecting mainframe and open-systems delivery targets
• Partner with the mainframe/ChangeMan team to ensure the two worlds stay in sync

Required qualifications

• Strong TypeScript/Node.js; hands-on experience building VSCode extensions
• Deep Git experience branching/merge models and Git internals, not just CLI usage
• Solid CI/CD engineering (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or equivalent)
• Containerization experience (Docker/Kubernetes)
• REST/API design experience, including integrating with backend systems you don't control end-to-end
• Working cloud platform experience (AWS or Azure)

Preferred qualifications

• Experience building GitOps-based deployment models
• Microservices delivery patterns and trunk-based development practice, not just familiarity
• Experience designing platform/control-plane abstractions for hybrid or multi-target delivery
