Position: Deputy Manager/Manager
Dept: RCU- Transaction Monitoring
Mandatory Requirements:
Skills: Data wrangling, querying and managing big data using Python and SAS is must.
Education: BTech/M.Sc./B.Sc in IT or CSE or Statistics background
Location: Mumbai
Presentation: Good written and verbal communication skills
Tools: SAS, Python, MS Excel, MS Access (optional)
Experience and requirements:
Prior experience in Analytics on SAS is must. A knowledge in data wrangling, ETL and querying is mandatory. Candidate should have good skills with MS Excel, should be able to create quick MIS/dashboard on Excel worksheets.
Candidate must have minimum 2-3 years’ experience in data analytics.
Experience in banking is added advantage but not mandatory.
Experience in transaction fraud space is an added advantage but not mandatory.
Candidate should have excellent logical thinking and solution building skills.
Should be able to work in minimum supervision.
Job Role:
Once selected the candidate would be working in transaction monitoring team which supports Kotak’s fraud prevention unit.
The responsibilities includes –
- Understanding business requirements about fraud and modus operandi of certain fraud types
- Working with large data sets and doing deep dive analysis – exploratory data analysis and statistical methods
- Building quick reports and analysis which is required for changing strategies or even required for reporting to external entities like RBI, NPCI etc
- Build a comprehensive story and come up with insights which has to be presented to the stakeholders
- Deep dive analysis on data for rule creation or tweak existing rules to make them work even more efficient
- Simulate few of the situations and suggest short term solutions to decrease False Positives
- Liaise with multiple teams like product team, data office team, implementation team for seamless execution of the projects
- Automating tasks using macros and functions. Able to schedule jobs on SAS server
- Periodic learning of new methods, technologies, analytical techniques through prescribed portals for solving challenging business problems
