Production Manager
Role PurposeLead and manage end-to-end production of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets are consistently achieved. Drive operational excellence across module/pack assembly, container integration, and testing.Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & ExecutionDevelop and execute production plans aligned with demand forecasts and project timelinesEnsure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materialsMonitor daily/weekly/monthly production KPIs (output, efficiency, downtime)2. Manufacturing Operations (BESS)Oversee assembly processes including:Battery module/pack assemblyRack integrationContainerized BESS assemblyElectrical integration (PCS, BMS, HVAC, fire systems)Ensure adherence to SOPs and work instructions3. Quality & ComplianceEnsure products meet internal and customer quality standardsImplement in-process quality checks and final inspection protocolsDrive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actionsEnsure compliance with standards like IEC, UL, ISO4. Safety & EHSEnforce strict safety protocols, especially for lithium-ion battery handlingEnsure compliance with EHS guidelines and statutory normsConduct regular safety audits and trainings5. Team ManagementLead, mentor, and develop production teams (engineers, supervisors, operators)Drive performance management and skill developmentManage shift planning and workforce allocation6. Continuous ImprovementImplement Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiativesImprove productivity, reduce cycle time, and minimize wastageDrive automation and digitalization initiatives (MES, IoT)7. Cross-functional CoordinationWork closely with:Supply Chain (material availability)Quality (inspection & audits)Engineering (process improvements, NPI)Projects (customer delivery timelines)Job role
