Our systems ingest millions of sensor readings daily, powering experiences for consumers and partners worldwide, with the reliability and scalability of cloud-native, enterprise-grade platforms.
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Engineering Operations for our India Offshore Development Center to accelerate delivery across the U.S., Spain, and India. In this role, you will be accountable for shaping the culture, alignment and delivery performance for a multi-team software portfolio delivered from India, defining the delivery operating model, establishing portfolio governance and metrics, and driving predictable outcomes across schedule, scope, quality, and cost. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, QA, Security, and Compliance leaders to improve planning and execution rigor, strengthen cross-site ways of working, and continuously improve processes and tooling while building an engaged, high-performing delivery organization in India.
What You’ll Work On
- Lead engineering operations for the India and bring cross-functional alignment with global product, design, security and engineering teams.
- Talent development, capacity/resource plans, and staffing strategies aligned to priorities across India.
- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to define delivery commitments and technical constraints.
- Build and lead the engineering operations/delivery organization (program/project managers, scrum masters, release managers as applicable): hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.
- Standardize cross-site ways of working across the U.S., Spain, and India following operating rhythms, documentation standards, handoff practices, and stakeholder communications.
- Ensure engineering teams support regulated product development, including traceability, change control, evidence generation, and audit readiness in partnership with QA/RA and compliance teams.
- Own operational excellence for the India center providing resource forecasting, onboarding, vendor/partner coordination
- Participate in the planning and release execution, including roadmap translation, milestone planning, backlog readiness and dependency management.
- Establish reporting and performance management including KPIs/OKRs, delivery health dashboards, throughput/flow metrics, release quality signals, and post-release retrospectives with measurable actions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of experience in software delivery, program management, or engineering operations, including 5+ years leading managers and multi-team delivery organizations.
- Demonstrated experience running engineering operations for an offshore development center or large distributed delivery portfolio, including operating model design, capacity planning, and delivery governance.
- Strong execution leadership across agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban) and scaled planning; ability to manage dependencies across product, platform, data, and mobile teams.
- Track record of driving predictable delivery outcomes across scope, schedule, quality, and cost, including risk management and executive-level escalation/communication.
- Experience delivering cloud-native software products and services (mobile, backend, data pipelines, and/or ML services) in a consumer or enterprise context.
- Excellent cross-cultural leadership and stakeholder management skills across geographies and time zones; strong written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience scaling engineering operations for an offshore development center (hiring plans, onboarding, operating cadence, culture, retention strategies) for 100+ person engineering organizations.
- Experience operating in regulated environments and partnering on compliance expectations (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820/11) to ensure delivery evidence and traceability.
- Background delivering digital health, IoT, biosensor, or data-intensive consumer platforms where reliability, privacy, and safety are critical.
- Experience with release governance for mobile applications (iOS/Android) and platform services, including incident/postmortem processes and operational readiness.
