Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

• Strong experience in preparation and review of fund financial statements under IFRS/Ind AS or US GAAP for Private Market (Private credit, Private equity, Real estate fund, Public funds, Wealth management) under WAM Industry.
• Strong experience in delivery of month end PnL & NAV in an accurate and timely manner.
• Strong experience in preparation of NAV Pack, Board packs & Investor Allocation.
• Relevant experience in Fund accounting using Yardi, Investran, LemonEdge platforms.
• Strong practical experience in using SQL, Python codes, Alteryx, Anaplan, Confluence and JIRA.
• Strong functional domain experience in the private markets space by helping in data migration, transformation as a techno-functional fund accounting BA.
• Strong core capabilities, including requirements gathering, gap analysis, process mapping, leading business testing, and strong documentation skills gained within an Agile delivery environment.
• Experience in booking of daily journal entries, management fee calculation, accrued expenses reimbursement calculations, valuation of investments, financial and investor report preparation, and ad hoc reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Real estate accounting principles and practices as per IFRS and US GAAP.
• Finalizes and consolidates books of accounts for subsidiaries / SPV's/Prop Cos with Holding Company.
• Scrutiny of ledgers, analyses of accounts of subsidiaries / SPV's/Prop Cos periodically.
• Strong experience in processing capital calls, distributions and waterfall distributions.
• Ability to work in a virtual global team, manage cross-border relationships.
• Ensure that proper accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls are maintained to safeguard the assets of the company and to ensure that all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP standard (IFRS or US GAAP).
• Perform middle office functions including P&L analysis, daily cash projections, calculations of FX transfers required for funding, checking client's contributions & redemptions etc.
• Review general ledger exceptions. Identify cause and make necessary adjustments.
• Responsible for accruing daily or monthly non-security related accruals including management fees and financing accruals.
• Perform daily and monthly securities pricing analysis.
• Review and test the control process on a regular basis to deliver the quality service to clients.
• Create checklist for the process to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Interact with client service teams (e.g. Fund administrator, valuation, etc.) to ensure timely and accurate communication of relevant financial information to clients.
