Job Summary:

As a Purchase Engineer, you will drive the end-to-end procurement process, from converting purchase requisitions (PR) to managing purchase orders (PO), with a core focus on handling indirect materials, consumables, MRO and Capex requirements. Your primary objective is to ensure the availability of materials as required to ensure the effectiveness of production. You will be responsible for aggressive cost negotiations, suppliers’ management also for seamless management of goods receipt processes and ensuring payments.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for PR to PO conversion and tracking PO s to ensure Timely delivery.
• Responsible for on-time delivery of materials as per the plant requirement
• Ensure supplier OTD and Quality rating to meet departmental objectives and to keep inventory intact
• Sourcing indirect materials with thorough understanding of the requirement for better pricing, in meeting the objectives
• Monitoring commodity / market trends to arrive at the price corrections
• Responsible for end-to-end transactions till part acceptance and payment

 

Basic Qualification:

• UG / Diploma
• 6+ years of experience in manufacturing Industry

Key competencies:

• Experience in handling indirect materials, MRO, Capex (complete plant requirement)
• Effective communication with suppliers towards the achievement of business goals
• Proficiency in MS office / ERP tools.
• Market knowledge of industrial consumables, tools, maintenance requirements etc.,
