About the role

 

·       Objective of the role:

To Manage the Soft Services, ensure Clean, Hygienic and safe environment in the building
Responsibilities

 

• Reports to Dept. Head and carry out all activities and functions as per SOPs
• Oversight and management of Building Upkeep Services Unit primarily of common areas of the building.
• Management of vendor personnel for assigned units.
• Manage training that includes assessing training needs of staff, and developing and coordinating programs to meet unit needs.
• Develop Work Plans and implement the same
• Organize and provide appropriate coordination for employee relations’ issues & statutory compliances.
• Plans, schedules, inspect work, and assigns work to subordinate supervisors and/or teams.
• May supervise shift workers and inspect.
• Applies knowledge of administration of program, resources, and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to manage others and to communicate effectively.
• Develops, interprets, and applies policies.
• Reviews programs/ processes for effectiveness.
• Brief all staff regarding their duties, designated areas and special instructions if any.
• Prepare and implement various checklists, at the frequency instructed in the suggested formats.
• De-brief all supervised staff at the end of each shift.
• Monitor that the staff is cleaning in the required manner in order to ensure that the surfaces are maintained in the best possible way and to enhance their longevity.
• Ensure discipline, proper attire and etiquette in the staff 
• Ensure maximum efficiency in Housekeeping Services

Experience & Education

·       Will be qualified Management /diploma holder with experience of 3 -5 years in the Industry

·       Working knowledge of the philosophy, objectives, methods and practices of Janitorial operations including    Cleaning chemicals & consumables usage, maintenance, repair of equipment and  waste disposal methods, hygiene & sanitation standards & techniques pertinent to housekeeping including scheduling, training, identification of  needs and maintenance of controls.

·       Ability to effectively supervise and coordinate the work of assigned areas of responsibility; to ensure the material, cost, work, and time reports; to communicate skilfully orally and in writing about the building/facility snags; to understand, carry out, and issue clear oral and written instructions; and to establish and maintain cooperative and effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

ü    Good Knowledge in functional area of Janitorial services

ü    Adequate software exposure like MS office etc.

ü    Good Leadership Qualities

ü    Speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally

ü    Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

·       Excellent grasp of language as well as content generation, marketing, management and generation

·       Experience working in heavily matrixed environments and leading by influence
