Lead Infrastructure Engineer- Network

As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Job responsibilities
- Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope and executes creative solutions for design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
- Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation, validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
- Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within delivery and automation routines to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options, ensuring changes are traceable/auditable and aligned to resiliency and security expectations.
- Build, deploy, migrate, and operate network perimeter DMZ switching and routing environment
- Support and troubleshoot DMZ switching and routing designed networks
- Deploy and maintain scripts for device pave/repave and automate day-to-day tasks
- Upgrade DMZ switches and routers with new code and software
- Perform service delivery troubleshooting with T3 teams and vendor management
- Coordinate cross-team collaboration with stakeholders
- Follow JPMorganChase processes designed to minimize risk to the environment
- Communicate effectively and drive problem solving during incidents and changes
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Apply technical expertise and structured problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, delivering creative solutions for design, development, and troubleshooting of moderately complex issues
- Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation, validating outputs and handling operational data per sensitivity and security requirements
- Drive a workstream or project across one or more infrastructure engineering technologies, partnering with other platforms to architect and implement changes that resolve issues and modernize processes
- Assess upstream and downstream data, systems, and technical implications, and advise on mitigation actions
- Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within delivery and automation routines to identify recurring issues, evaluate remediation options, and ensure changes are traceable/auditable and aligned to resiliency and security expectations
- Build, deploy, migrate, and operate network perimeter DMZ switching and routing environment
- Support and troubleshoot DMZ switching and routing designed networks, including service delivery troubleshooting with T3 teams and vendor management
- Deploy and maintain scripts for device pave/repave and automate day-to-day tasks, including upgrading DMZ switches and routers with new code/software and coordinating with stakeholders while following JPMorgan Chase processes to minimize risk
- Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Leverage network security technologies such as firewall, proxy, and load balancer
- Support internet services traversing through the DMZ
- Apply Agile methodologies like Kanban and Scrum
- Demonstrate leadership and collaboration skills in a large enterprise environment
- Take initiative and work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Obtain/hold CCIE certification (or equivalent advanced networking certification
