Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, maintain, and support Mainframe applications using COBOL and related technologies.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and implement effective solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and application issues across multiple systems.
• Participate in application modernization, re-engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure solutions meet quality, security, scalability, maintainability, and performance standards.
• Collaborate closely with customers, business users, and project teams on a daily basis.
• Follow established development, testing, and change management processes.
• Support project deliverables and production activities, including extended working hours when required.

 

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • IBM Mainframe technologies
  • COBOL
  • JCL
  • REXX
  • VSAM
• Experience with Endevor or similar Mainframe change management tools.
• Solid understanding of software design, development, and implementation methodologies.
• Ability to understand technical specifications and independently develop solutions.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills for complex enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DXC Series 2 (US Property & Casualty Insurance platform).
• Experience in US Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain.
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise application support and development environments.

Experience Level
