VSSE Delivery Manager

The Delivery Manager, VSSE-IT Systems Engineering, is responsible for leading the delivery and operational performance of technology solutions supporting Ford’s vehicle software and systems engineering. The role oversees PLM and Teamcenter capabilities, enterprise integrations, cloud platforms, DevOps, application development, and AI/ML-enabled engineering tools. This role will develop high-performing teams, establish delivery priorities, manage strategic technology initiatives, and ensure solutions meet organizational standards for security, quality, reliability, scalability, and business value.

· Lead the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of VSSE-IT software platforms, modeling ecosystems, and engineering data capabilities. 

·  Define and execute technology roadmaps supporting systems engineering, digital engineering, product development, traceability, collaboration, and enterprise data integration. 

·  Provide technical leadership for Siemens Teamcenter customization tools such as VSEM, IVS and PLM integrations, including product structures, bills of materials, requirements management, workflows, lifecycle states, change management, release processes, and configuration management. 

·  Oversee Teamcenter architecture, customization, administration, upgrades, environment management, troubleshooting, data synchronization, and operational readiness. 

·  Lead integrations between Teamcenter, MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler, Teamwork Cloud, MBSE tools, requirements platforms, and enterprise engineering systems. 

·  Apply integration technologies and configuration tools such as REST, SOA, ITK, BMIDE, Active Workspace, or comparable PLM technologies. 

·  Manage and mentor cross-functional engineering teams responsible for full-stack development, cloud platforms, DevOps, quality, cybersecurity, and production operations. 

·  Guide the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, Python, JavaScript, Angular or React, RESTful APIs, databases, and GCP cloud-native services. 

·  Establish and improve DevOps practices, including Kubernetes/OpenShift, containerization, Jenkins or Tekton, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, observability, and infrastructure automation. 

·  Advance AI/ML-enabled engineering capabilities through the integration of LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, analytics platforms, AI APIs, and intelligent modeling workflows. 

·  Partner with Siemens Product Development to address core product issues and coordinate the development and delivery of customer-specific patches and fixes. 

·  Collaborate with product owners, systems engineers, architects, PLM teams, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to prioritize delivery, manage risks, and conduct architecture and production-readiness reviews. 

·  Promote engineering excellence through Agile planning, backlog refinement, estimation, code reviews, quality practices, performance management, and continuous process improvement. 

·  Ensure VSSE-IT solutions meet enterprise standards for security, compliance, data quality, traceability, performance, reliability, maintainability, and user adoption.

·  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree is preferred. 

·  At least 10 years of progressive experience in software engineering, enterprise application development, technology delivery, or a related field. 

·  At least 5 years of experience with Product Lifecycle Management platforms, including PLM customization, integrations, product structures, bills of materials, requirements, workflows, change management, release processes, and configuration management. 

·  At least 3 years of experience in people management, engineering management, delivery leadership, or a comparable technical leadership role. 

·  Demonstrated success leading the end-to-end delivery of enterprise software products and platforms using Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies. 

·  Strong technical experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Python, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or React. 

·  Experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-native applications using GCP, OpenShift or Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD pipelines, Tekton or Jenkins, and Terraform. 

·  Experience leading PLM integrations with engineering, MBSE, ERP, requirements management, or enterprise data systems using REST, SOA, ITK, BMIDE, Active Workspace, or comparable technologies. 

·  Experience with data platforms, analytics solutions, AI/ML initiatives, or engineering data integration programs. Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, and TensorFlow is a plus. 

·  Proven ability to establish technical direction, manage delivery risks, improve engineering processes, and deliver secure, reliable, production-ready solutions. 

·  Excellent communication, stakeholder management, prioritization, decision-making, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. 

·  Demonstrated ability to build inclusive, high-performing teams and partner effectively with engineering, product, architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, PLM, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens Teamcenter, Teamcenter X, 3DEXPERIENCE, or comparable PLM platforms.
• Knowledge of PLM data models, product structures, BOMs, workflows, lifecycle states, change management, and configuration management.
• Experience with PLM integrations, migrations, APIs, customization, and enterprise engineering systems.
• Familiarity with MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler, Teamwork Cloud, SysML, Codebeamer, VIATRA, or similar MBSE tools.
• Knowledge of automotive product development, systems engineering, digital engineering, or regulated environments.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, distributed systems, AI/ML applications, LLMs, and analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with GCP, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Terraform, CI/CD, containers, observability, and cloud security.
• Experience leading distributed or global engineering teams in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
