We are looking for a Technical Lead to join our IoT Development Team and help drive the development of IoT solutions for Alfa Laval products. Our solutions enable remote support, data visualization, and performance analytics, helping customers improve efficiency, compliance, and sustainability.

About the role

As Technical Lead in one of the IoT Development Teams, you will work closely with developers, Product Owners, Delivery Leads, business stakeholders, and DevOps teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

The role includes responsibility for technical design, implementation approach, estimation, mentoring team members, and cross-team coordination, while ensuring that solutions meet requirements for performance, usability, stability, maintainability, and cybersecurity. It also requires active involvement in software development and technical leadership, helping guide technical decisions and delivery across the team.

 

In this role, you will

• Lead technical design, solution definition, and estimation activities, translating business requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions
• Mentor engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, testing practices, and the promotion of engineering best practices
• Collaborate across teams and stakeholders to align solutions, manage dependencies, and ensure efficient delivery
• Support the full software development lifecycle, including implementation, deployment, maintenance, and operational handover
• Remain actively involved in hands-on software development and technical problem solving, contributing where your expertise provides the greatest value
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for performance, usability, maintainability, stability, and cybersecurity

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

 

Must have skills and experience

• 7+ years of strong experience in software development
• 5+ years of strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core
• Experience designing and delivering backend or distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with Docker
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure is highly preferred, experience with other cloud platforms is also valued
• Experience working in Agile development teams
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Experience mentoring developers and driving technical progress within a team
• Experience collaborating across teams and managing technical dependencies
• Experience supporting the software lifecycle, including deployment, maintenance, and handover
• Experience working with APIs and service-based architectures
• Experience monitoring, logging, diagnostics, and troubleshooting production systems

 

Nice to have skills and experience

• Experience with Angular or another frontend technology
• Experience with Python or another scripting language
• Experience working with IoT, edge, cloud-connected, telemetry-based or industrial monitoring solutions/data flows
• Hands-on experience with Linux-based environments
• Experience with time-series databases such as TimescaleDB or InfluxDB
• Experience with deployments, pipelines, and operational handovers
• Experience using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
• Experience with microservices, messaging, or event-driven systems
