Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your leadership and project management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates.
You'll play a key role in driving the execution of projects with low criticality, ensuring contractual requirements and customer expectations are met while optimizing financial performance. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Core Team, Customer Director, Support Functions), define project strategies, and lead project activities from transfer to close-out, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of project governance and stakeholder coordination, but also ensure compliance with applicable standards and proactively manage risks and opportunities.
We’ll look to you for:
Owning the Project Management Work Package (WP) and being accountable for project Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Planning (QCDP) performance.
Defining project strategies and aligning objectives with contract requirements.
Leading and coordinating project activities and stakeholders, including resource management and team leadership.
Ensuring alignment with customer contractual requirements and managing variation orders.
Proactively managing risks, savings, and opportunities to optimize project outcomes.
Representing the project to Alstom management and external stakeholders with transparency and professionalism.
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
5 years of experience as a sub-system/component manager, qualified project manager, or manager of an operational scope, with a total of at least 15 years of professional experience in Rolling Stock (RS).
Experience working in and with multinational companies and across diverse business cultures.
Knowledge of project management processes and railway products and systems.
Strong skills in team management, communication, and negotiation.
Leadership, entrepreneurial mindset, and a results-oriented approach.
IPMA Level C certification (or equivalent) is desirable.
Familiarity with Alstom’s way of working for efficient process execution is a plus.
Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:
Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from monotonous daily routines.
Work with new security standards for rail signalling.
Collaborate with transverse teams and supportive colleagues.
Contribute to innovative projects that shape the future of mobility.
Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment.
Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.
Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning programs.
Progress towards senior leadership roles or other areas of interest.
Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
