Job Description & Summary 

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to own and drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution of a complex technology product/platform within the Stock & Availability Technology domain. 

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Retail Technology, Stock/Inventory Management, Omnichannel Retail, Order Management, APIs and/or Engineering Platforms, combined with strong product management and technical acumen. 

You will work closely with Business, Engineering, Data, Product, Architecture and external partners to define product vision, prioritize investments, deliver measurable business outcomes and continuously improve product performance, reliability, adoption and customer experience. 

Responsibilities: 

• Own the product strategy, vision and roadmap for a complex API, technology platform or engineering product. 
  Translate business and customer needs into clear product outcomes, priorities and measurable objectives. 
  Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Data Science, Business and other Product teams to define and execute the product roadmap. 
  Manage a prioritized product backlog, including epics, features and user stories. 
  Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning and other Agile product ceremonies. 
  Work across multiple products and delivery teams to manage dependencies and coordinate complex product initiatives. 
  Define and track OKRs, KPIs, product adoption, performance and service-level measures. 
  Use data, customer insights and business analysis to identify opportunities, validate hypotheses and make informed product decisions. 
  Lead discovery activities, including MVP definition, experimentation, prototyping and validation of new product capabilities. 
  Break down complex programmes and initiatives into smaller, incremental deliverables that provide measurable business value. 
  Partner with Engineering to assess technical complexity, effort, dependencies, risks and delivery feasibility. 
  Understand and actively manage technical debt, technology upgrades, platform resilience, reliability, performance and security. 
  Identify impediments, risks and delivery challenges and work proactively with stakeholders to resolve them. 
  Manage and govern work delivered by external agencies/vendors, ensuring quality, timelines and expected outcomes. 
  Influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams without direct authority. 
  Continuously evaluate product performance and adoption and identify opportunities for improvement. 
  Champion a customer-first approach while balancing business priorities, technology constraints and resource allocation. 

 

*Mandatory skill sets 

•8+ years of overall professional experience, with significant experience in Product Management. 
Proven experience working as a Product Manager in Retail Technology. 
Strong prior experience in Stock Management, Inventory Management, Stock Visibility, Order Management or Omnichannel Retail. 
Experience owning and managing technology products, APIs, platforms or engineering components. 
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, ceremonies and product delivery practices. 
Hands-on experience with: 
Product roadmap creation 
Product strategy 
Backlog management 
User story definition 
Backlog refinement/grooming 
Sprint planning 
Release planning 
Epics and feature decomposition 
Strong technical understanding with the ability to engage effectively with Engineering, Architecture and Technology teams. 
Ability to understand technical solutions, assess complexity and contribute to delivery estimations and prioritization decisions. 
Strong understanding of APIs, technology platforms and modern engineering concepts. 
Understanding of technical debt, platform upgrades, reliability, security and service-level management. 
Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyse large datasets and derive actionable insights. 
Experience defining hypotheses, MVPs, experiments and success metrics and using results to drive product decisions. 
Strong understanding of product management methodologies and best practices. 
Demonstrated ability to define product strategy in terms of customer value and business outcomes. 
Experience managing external vendors/agencies and ensuring delivery quality. 
Proven ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across multiple stakeholder groups. 
Experience working with geographically distributed and multicultural teams.
