Advisor - Estate Planning-Estate Planning-Estate Planning
Estate Planning is a business which is being done through Kotak Mahindra Trusteeship Services Limited. Estate Planning involves succession planning by creation of Trust Structures for Clients and managing the Trust administration which includes Trust investments, distributions, accounts, audit, taxation and dissolution.
The business presently consists of people who are responsible for business development ,creating trust structures, legal, compliance and operations of the Estate Planning Business. The team consists of either Lawyers/ Chartered Accountants at present. We are looking for a person in a sales role who will be able to pitch the Estate Planning product to the clients. The role is detailed below:
Job Description The role is detailed below:
1. Understanding Estate Planning through Wills and Trusts.
2. Ability to meet and discuss the Estate Planning concept with clients.
3. Ability to liaise and have detailed discussions on trusts with clients and their family/advisors.
4. Ability to work on multiple matters at the same time and should be able to engage and respond to clients in a timely and accurate manner.
5. The Candidate should be aware of the basic concepts of estate planning including succession laws, trust laws, tax laws, general corporate law and preferably should have handled transactions on trust structuring and trust administration.
6. Ideally a Chartered Accountant or a Lawyer or a MBA who has been in a Client facing role or worked in the field of estate planning atleast for a period of 1/2 years and is aware of Trust and succession laws.
7. Understanding US and multi-jurisdictional tax and structuring issues and having the knowledge of real estate laws will be added advantage.

- Experience in investment/financial services will be added advantage. Understanding of tax and legal concepts relating to Trust would also be an added advantage for the role.
