Senior Software Engineer – AI/ML

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – AI/ML with strong hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, particularly in designing and developing complex, production-level AI/ML solutions.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience taking AI/ML solutions from concept or prototype through to production deployment, with a strong understanding of model integration, AI/ML workflows, scalability, performance, and reliability.

Experience in API development and software engineering is also required, but this will be a secondary focus compared to hands-on AI/ML expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain production-grade AI/ML solutions for complex business and technical use cases.
• Develop and implement AI/ML solutions using appropriate models, frameworks, tools, and technologies.
• Work with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI/ML applications where applicable.
• Develop solutions involving RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, model integration, and AI workflows.
• Build and integrate AI/ML capabilities into enterprise applications and existing technology ecosystems.
• Evaluate and optimize AI/ML solutions for accuracy, performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.
• Work with large and complex datasets and apply appropriate machine learning techniques to solve real-world problems.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and services to expose and integrate AI/ML capabilities with enterprise applications.
• Integrate AI/ML solutions with databases, external services, enterprise applications, and other data sources.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and production-ready code.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AI/ML models, applications, integrations, and production environments.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, and business teams to deliver scalable AI/ML solutions.
• Contribute to technical standards, best practices, and continuous improvement of AI/ML engineering processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong professional experience in AI/ML engineering, with proven hands-on experience building and deploying production-level AI/ML solutions.
• Experience working on complex, real-world AI/ML use cases rather than only prototypes, POCs, or academic projects.
• Strong programming skills in Python. Experience with Java, C#, or TypeScript is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, algorithms, model development, evaluation, and deployment.
• Hands-on experience with relevant AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face, or similar.
• Experience with Generative AI and LLM-based applications is preferred.
• Experience with concepts such as RAG, embeddings, vector search, prompt engineering, LLM integration, and model evaluation is an advantage.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Spring Boot, .NET, or similar.
• Understanding of software engineering principles, application architecture, scalability, and performance.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other relational/NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, automated testing, and production deployment practices is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and deploying enterprise-scale AI/ML applications.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and Agentic AI solutions.
• Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar.
• Experience with AI agents, tool/function calling, workflow orchestration, and multi-step AI workflows.
• Familiarity with MCP, AI guardrails, LLM evaluation, AI observability, and Responsible AI.
• Experience integrating AI/ML solutions with enterprise APIs, databases, and business applications.
• Experience with AI/ML model optimization, monitoring, and production support.
• Cloud or AI/ML certifications are a plus.

What We're Looking For

We are primarily looking for a strong hands-on AI/ML engineer who has experience solving complex, production-level AI/ML problems and delivering reliable solutions in an enterprise environment.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across the AI/ML lifecycle — from understanding the business problem and developing the solution to deployment, optimization, monitoring, and production support.

Experience in API development and broader software engineering is important, but it is considered a secondary requirement. The primary differentiator for this role will be the candidate's depth of practical AI/ML experience and their ability to build and productionize complex AI/ML solutions.
