Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE 2) with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, Appium, and Rest Assured to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing robust automated test solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and Rest Assured.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate REST APIs and microservices using automation frameworks and API testing tools.
• Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects through their lifecycle.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution.
• Prepare test plans, test cases, test reports, and quality metrics.
• Continuously improve test coverage, framework stability, and test execution efficiency.

Required Skills

Must-Have Skills

• 5-8 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
• Strong programming expertise in Java.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for web automation.
• Strong experience with Appium for mobile Automation testing (Android/iOS).
• Extensive experience in REST API Automation using Rest Assured.
• Experience with TestNG/JUnit frameworks.
• Good understanding of API testing, JSON, XML, and Microservices architecture.
• Experience in defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Git version control.

Preferred Skills

• CI/CD experience using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Exposure to Docker and cloud environments.
• Experience working with SQL databases and backend validation.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools is an added advantage.
• Exposure to Banking or Financial Services domain is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
