As a Technical Project Manager III in Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology team, you will help lead complex technology projects and programs that drive business goals and create value for clients, employees, and stakeholders. Applying a broad knowledge of technical principles, practices, and theories is essential to developing innovative solutions, along with leveraging analytical reasoning and adaptability skills to navigate through ambiguity and change. Your strong communication abilities will enable you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment on project objectives and governance. Job responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure timely and successful delivery of technology projects
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing risk management strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, quality assurance, and business stakeholders, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Utilize technical fluency to evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendor products for project implementation
• Monitor project progress, adjusting plans and schedules as needed, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the project or program lifecycle
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate project planning and risk synthesis (e.g., drafting plans, RAID, and status narratives), validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity requirements
• Promotes reuse-first, AI-assisted practices for project governance artifacts and reporting, ensuring human review and alignment to delivery standards

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities
• Proven experience leading through the project lifecycle management, including influencing decision makers and adapting to changes as business needs evolve
• Prior experience as a business analyst or project management role.  Excellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize work against competing demands
• Knowledge and experience using various desktop and project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Confluence, JIRA
• Strong technical fluency, with familiarity in current and relevant platforms, software tools, and technologies
• Proficient in stakeholder management, with a track record of establishing productive working relationships and driving mutually beneficial outcomes
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support technical program management workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted plans, risks, and recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following data handling expectations

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferable
• Preferably experience working within an Agile development lifecycle
