In indirect tax at PwC, you will focus value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), sales tax and other indirect taxes. Job Description & Summary: A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud. 

Our Internal Tax team provides internal services related to financial services, treasury and taxation. As part of our team, you’ll help the team provide a full range of taxation services to PwC related to complex financial reporting, cost management, tax planning, investment management and transaction processing. 

 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

• Must have good command over accounting and book keeping; 

• Must be good in MS Office (specially excel); 

• Must have thorough theoretical knowledge of GST; 

• Must have good working knowledge of GST and service tax; 

• Must have ability of doing research on tax topics; 

• Must have experience of dealing with tax authorities including preparing replies to notices and appearing before them; 

• Must have good communication and drafting skills; 

• Capable of doing various reconciliations in MS excel; 

• Willing to work in difficult situation due to stringent statutory timelines; 

• Capable of handling extreme work pressure; 

• Should be able to play pivotal role in various tax fillings; 

• Must be a good team player and able to build connection with different verticals of finance as well as business teams; 

• Should be able to independently manage the assigned work; 

• Should be a positive thinker with solution oriented approach; 

• Knowledge of Oracle’s cloud package would be an added advantage.
