Sr,.Design Engineer- Blast

 

The Blast Resistant Design & Simulation Engineer for the analysis, design, and evaluation of structures subjected to blast loads. The role involves performing advanced numerical simulations, developing blast-resistant structural systems, and ensuring compliance with international standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform blast load calculations (TNT equivalency, scaled distance, reflected pressure, impulse).Conduct blast simulationsusing software such as:ANSYS AutodynLS-DYNAABAQUSSAP2000 / ETABS (for structural response checks)Design blast-resistant:Reinforced concrete structuresSteel structuresUG bunkers and tunnelsAmmunition storage facilitiesDevelop Single degree of freedom (SDOF) models for dynamic response analysis.Evaluate structural performance based on:Ductility ratiosSupport rotationPrepare Detailed engineering reports and technical documentation.Review and interpret project specifications related to explosion loads.Ensure compliance with standards such as:UFC 3-340-02TM manualIATG guidelinesASCE blast provisionsParticipate in design reviews and client meetings.
