Job Description: Gold Loan Relationship Officer

Position: Gold Loan Relationship Officer
Department: Gold Loan / Retail Assets

 

Job Purpose

The Gold Loan Relationship Officer will be responsible for sourcing new customers, generating Gold Loan business, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring smooth processing of loan applications while adhering to internal policies and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and acquire new customers for Gold Loan products through market activities, referrals, existing customer relationships, and local networking.
• Achieve assigned monthly business and disbursement targets.
• Explain Gold Loan products, interest rates, repayment options, and applicable charges to customers.
• Coordinate with customers for documentation, KYC, loan processing, and disbursement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Generate leads through local market visits, references, branch customer base, and other sourcing channels.
• Follow up with customers for renewals, repayments, and closure of Gold Loan accounts.
• Ensure adherence to KYC, documentation, operational, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, applications, disbursements, and customer follow-ups.
• Provide timely resolution of customer queries and ensure a positive customer experience.

Candidate Profile

• Qualification: Graduate preferred; suitable candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.
• Experience: Preferably 1–4 years in Gold Loan, secured lending, retail assets, banking, NBFC, or financial-services sales.
• Strong sales and customer relationship management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable with field sales and local market sourcing.
• Target-oriented with the ability to generate business independently.
• Knowledge of Gold Loan products and basic lending/KYC processes will be an advantage
