Job Description

Software Development Specialist

We are seeking an experienced PMO professional to support our IT Product and Delivery organization. The role will be responsible for driving project governance, portfolio reporting, delivery tracking, resource management, financial oversight, and stakeholder communication across multiple product and technology initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess strong program management support skills, excellent analytical capabilities, and proven experience working with Agile and Waterfall delivery models.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Portfolio Governance

  • Support governance of multiple IT product and delivery initiatives across the portfolio.
  • Ensure adherence to project management standards, processes, and organizational governance frameworks.
  • Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items.
  • Facilitate project reviews, steering committee meetings, and governance forums.
  • Maintain portfolio dashboards and provide visibility into project health and delivery status.

Delivery Monitoring & Reporting

  • Develop and publish weekly/monthly portfolio status reports and executive dashboards.
  • Monitor project KPIs including schedule, scope, budget, quality, and resource utilization.
  • Analyze project performance and identify potential delivery risks and bottlenecks.
  • Ensure timely escalation of critical issues impacting project timelines or business outcomes.
  • Drive closure of action items and follow-up activities.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Track project budgets, forecasts, actuals, and financial variance reports.
  • Support annual planning, budget preparation, and portfolio forecasting activities.
  • Monitor resource allocation and utilization across projects and programs.
  • Assist project managers and delivery leads with capacity planning and demand management.

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Maintain project risk, issue, assumption, and dependency (RAID) logs.
  • Support audit, compliance, and control requirements related to project delivery.
  • Ensure documentation and reporting standards are consistently followed across initiatives.
  • Track and report on mitigation plans and risk remediation activities.

Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with Product Managers, Engineering Teams, Delivery Leads, Business Stakeholders, and Leadership teams.
  • Prepare presentation materials and executive review packs.
  • Ensure effective communication of portfolio status, risks, achievements, and key decisions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve delivery challenges.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, tools, and governance frameworks.
  • Drive standardization of project management practices and reporting templates.
  • Support Agile transformation initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
  • Leverage automation tools for reporting and portfolio management activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of PMO, Project Coordination, Program Management Office, or IT Delivery Management experience.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience supporting Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Proven experience in project tracking, portfolio management, and executive reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
