Electrical AutoCAD Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify electrical schematic and wiring drawings using AutoCAD 2D.
• Develop electrical layouts, panel drawings, wiring diagrams, and connection drawings.
• Coordinate with the electrical assembly and production teams to ensure drawings are practical and correctly implemented.
• Oversee and support electrical panel wiring and machine electrical assembly.
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) for electrical systems.
• Finalize specifications for bought-out electrical components and coordinate with suppliers/vendors.
• Select and specify components such as sensors, contactors, relays, breakers, switches, terminals, cables, PLC components, etc.
• Work closely with the automation, mechanical, production, and testing teams to resolve design and assembly-related issues.
• Make design modifications based on production, testing, and customer requirements.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• Good knowledge of electrical wiring, electrical schematics, and industrial electrical systems.
• Practical understanding of control panel wiring and machine wiring.
• Basic to good knowledge of PLC, HMI, sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, and other industrial electrical components.
• At least 2 years of experience working with AutoCAD 2D electrical drawings is preferred.
• Ability to understand electrical circuits and translate them into clear, practical drawings.
• Ability to prepare BOMs and understand electrical component specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
