Role Summary

Kanhai Foods is looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to run day-to-day production on our bun line. The role owns safe, on-time output of high-quality baked goods, leads a shift team, and keeps the line running to GMP and food-safety standards. The ideal candidate leads from the floor — coaching the team, holding output and quality steady across shifts, and keeping the line audit-ready at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily bun-line production to meet output, quality, and on-time targets.

Lead, coach, and develop the shift team — build a culture of safety, accountability, and ownership on the floor.

Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the line.

Monitor product quality through the shift and act quickly on deviations.

Drive efficiency and reduce wastage, downtime, and rework through daily problem-solving and root-cause analysis.

Track and report production data — output, downtime, yield, and wastage — against targets/KPIs.

Manage manpower allocation, shift coverage, and line discipline.

Enforce safety and hygiene standards and correct use of PPE by the team.

Coordinate with quality, maintenance, and packing to keep the line moving without bottlenecks.

Keep the department audit-ready and support third-party, customer, and regulatory audits; train the team on requirements and close out gaps.

Education & Experience

Minimum 12th pass / high school equivalent; Diploma or Degree preferred.

2–5 years of experience leading production teams in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Food / bakery / FMCG manufacturing experience is a strong plus.

Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development and accountability.

Good communication and the ability to work across teams (quality, maintenance, packing).

Basic computer proficiency — MS Office; exposure to ERP/MRP systems an advantage.

Familiarity with 5S and Lean/continuous-improvement practices preferred.

Preferred / Good to Have

Experience on a bun, bread, or high-volume bakery line.

Exposure to customer or regulatory audits (e.g. food-safety / SQA audits).

Working knowledge of production planning and record-keeping
