Accountant

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with 2–3 years of relevant experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring statutory compliance, preparing financial reports, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions accurately.
• Prepare journal entries, vouchers, and ledger postings.
• Perform bank, vendor, and customer account reconciliations.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliance activities.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Monitor expenses and ensure proper documentation of financial records.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with Tally ERP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas).
• Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the manufacturing industry (highly preferred).
• Exposure to trading or service industry accounting.
• Knowledge of audit processes and taxation.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Timely completion of month-end and year-end closing.
• Accuracy of accounting records and financial reports.
• On-time statutory and tax compliance filings.
• Efficient reconciliation and resolution of accounting discrepancies.
