Production Shift Incharge

We are looking for a competent and result-oriented Production Shift In-Charge to manage and supervise production activities during the assigned shift. The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets while ensuring quality, safety, productivity, manpower utilization, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor day-to-day shift production activities as per the production plan.
• Achieve production targets while maintaining required quality and productivity standards.
• Supervise and effectively utilize operators, workmen, and contract manpower.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Monitor machine performance, production output, rejection, rework, downtime, and productivity.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Stores, Tool Room, and other departments for smooth production.
• Identify and resolve production-related issues and minimize machine downtime and production losses.
• Ensure proper 5S, housekeeping, safety, and discipline within the production area.
• Conduct shift-start meetings and communicate production priorities and safety requirements to the team.
• Maintain and review shift production reports, rejection reports, downtime records, and manpower details.
• Support continuous improvement, Kaizen, cost reduction, and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper handover of production status and pending issues to the next shift.
• Take immediate action in case of quality, safety, machine, or manpower-related issues.
• Train and guide operators to improve skill, productivity, quality, and safety awareness. 
• Strong knowledge of production processes, manpower handling, line balancing, productivity, quality, and shop-floor management.
• Good understanding of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and basic problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a shift-based manufacturing environment.
• Good leadership, communication, coordination, and decision-making skills.
• Candidates with experience in automotive components, assembly, machining, fabrication, stamping, or related manufacturing processes will be preferred.
