Bakery Assistant

We are a charming, small cafe looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Pastry & Kitchen All-Rounder to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you will be mainly responsible for our bakery and pastry preparation while also supporting the day-to-day operations of the cafe.

Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and baking cakes, brownies, blondies, cupcakes, cheesecakes, mousse and other desserts, along with preparing whipping cream, ganache, fillings and other components. You will also assist with cake assembly, basic decoration, portioning, packaging and maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.

Along with pastry work, you will also help with cafe kitchen preparation, including sandwiches, Maggi, fries, snacks and other food items. During busy hours, you may need to multitask and support with order preparation, packing takeaway and delivery orders, basic beverage preparation, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and work areas.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a small team, willing to multitask, maintains good hygiene and cleanliness, and takes responsibility for their work. Previous bakery, pastry or cafe experience is preferred, but candidates with good basic skills and a willingness to learn are welcome.
