Civil Site Engineer(Interior)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Interior Civil Engineer with around 5 years of experience to manage and supervise civil and interior execution works at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for site execution, contractor coordination, quality control, quantity verification, material management and timely completion of assigned works.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise day-to-day civil and interior works at the project site.

* Execute works as per approved architectural, structural and interior drawings.

* Coordinate with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors and vendors.

* Check drawings, dimensions, levels, specifications and site conditions before execution.

* Supervise masonry, plastering, flooring, tiling, waterproofing, stone, painting and finishing works.

* Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other MEP teams.

* Monitor manpower and contractor productivity at site.

* Prepare daily progress reports and maintain site records.

* Plan daily and weekly work activities according to the project schedule.

* Ensure proper quality and workmanship as per project specifications.

* Check quantities and measurements of completed work.

* Assist in preparation and verification of contractor bills.

* Prepare material requirement statements and coordinate with procurement teams.

* Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.

* Identify site problems and coordinate with seniors for suitable technical solutions.

* Conduct quality inspections and ensure rectification of defective works.

* Carry out snagging and ensure timely closure of all observations.

* Maintain proper coordination between different agencies working at the site.

* Follow project safety procedures and ensure safe working practices.

* Assist in final inspection, finishing, documentation and project handover.

Required Skills

* Good knowledge of civil construction and interior finishing works.

* Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings.

* Knowledge of BOQ, quantity measurement and basic rate analysis.

* Good understanding of construction materials and finishing products.

* Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.

* Good site supervision and contractor management skills.

* Strong communication and coordination abilities.

* Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.

* Ability to manage site activities independently and meet deadlines.

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

Experience

* Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in civil construction and interior fit-out works.

* Experience in residential, villa, apartment, commercial or premium interior projects will be preferred.

* Experience in managing contractors and coordinating multiple site activities is desirable.

Reporting

The Interior Civil Engineer will report to the Project Manager / Site Manager / Construction Manager and will be responsible for the day-to-day execution and coordination of assigned site activities.
