Key Responsibilities

• Perform shaping, fitting, and assembly of mechanical components and sub assemblies as per drawings and specifications
• Disassemble equipment and components for inspection, maintenance, and repair
• Carry out filter maintenance, including cleaning, replacement, and routine upkeep of filtration systems
• Machine mechanical parts using hand tools, power tools, and basic workshop machinery
• Assist in the installation, alignment, and commissioning of mechanical equipment
• Inspect finished parts and assemblies to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards
• Maintain tools, equipment, and the work area in a clean and safe condition
• Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures during fitting, machining, and maintenance activities
• Report equipment issues, wear, or malfunctions to the shift supervisor promptly
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work completed
• Support other production and maintenance tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Required Qualifications

• ITI certification in Mechanical Fitter trade (or equivalent trade certification)
• 0 to 1 years of relevant work experience; freshers are encouraged to apply
• Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic machining equipment
• Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines

Preferred Skills

• Prior hands on experience with filter systems and mechanical maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing setting
• Exposure to precision fitting and assembly work
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Understanding of workplace safety practices in a manufacturing or process industry environment
• Willingness to learn and work with specialized equipment used in nanomaterial manufacturing
• Good teamwork and communication skills within a shop floor environment
