Grocery Store Manager

The Organic World is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, drive sales, ensure excellent customer service, and manage store profitability. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, retail operations expertise, and experience in handling store teams and inventory.

• Key ResponsibilitiesStore OperationsManage overall store operations and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, company policies, and compliance standards.
• Maintain store hygiene, cleanliness, and visual merchandising standards.
• Sales & Business PerformanceAchieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Drive customer footfall and conversion through promotions and local marketing activities.
• Monitor category-wise sales and take corrective actions to improve performance.
• Track and improve store KPIs such as sales, ATV, ASP, conversion rate, and customer satisfaction.
• Inventory ManagementEnsure optimum stock availability and minimize stock-outs.
• Monitor inventory movement, inward and outward stock processes.
• Control wastage, damages, expiry management, and shrinkage.
• Conduct regular stock audits and inventory reconciliation.
• Team ManagementLead, train, motivate, and develop store staff.
• Prepare staff rosters and manage manpower effectively.
• Monitor employee performance and drive productivity.
• Ensure discipline, attendance, and employee engagement.
• Customer ServiceDeliver exceptional customer experience.
• Resolve customer complaints and escalations promptly.
• Build customer loyalty through personalized service and membership programs.
• Financial ManagementManage store expenses and improve profitability.
• Monitor cash handling, billing accuracy, and banking activities.
• Ensure compliance with audit and financial control processes.
• RequirementsGraduate in any discipline; MBA is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in retail store operations, preferably in supermarkets, grocery, FMCG, or modern trade.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and sales operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and retail management systems.
