Home Appliance Technician

About the Role-

Cityfurnish India Private Limited is looking for skilled and motivated Home Appliance Repair Technicians to join our Refurbishment Team in Bangalore, Bidarahalli. The selected candidate will be responsible for inspecting returned appliances, performing quality checks, diagnosing faults, repairing and refurbishing products, and ensuring they are ready for the next customer as per Cityfurnish quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Achieve assigned daily repair and refurbishment targets.

* Perform Quality Check (QC) of appliances returned from customer locations.

* Inspect products for physical damage, missing parts, functionality, and overall condition.

* Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in appliances.

* Repair, service, and refurbish appliances as per company quality standards.

* Conduct functional testing before and after repairs to ensure proper performance.

* Identify spare parts required for repairs and coordinate with the inventory team.

* Update repair status, QC findings, and refurbishment details in the company system.

* Ensure all repaired appliances are Ready-to-Rent before dispatch.

* Follow company SOPs and safety guidelines while handling electrical appliances.

* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

* Minimize repeat repairs by ensuring high-quality workmanship.

* Report recurring technical issues and recommend process improvements.

Appliances to be Repaired

The technician should have experience in repairing and servicing:

* Washing Machines

* Refrigerators

* Air Conditioners (Split & Window)

* Microwave Ovens

* Water Dispensers

Required Skills

* Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.

* Good understanding of electrical, electronic, and refrigeration systems.

* Hands-on experience in appliance repair and refurbishment.

* Ability to use repair tools and testing equipment.

* Knowledge of preventive maintenance and quality inspection.

* Basic computer knowledge for updating repair and QC records.

* Ability to work independently while meeting daily productivity targets.

* Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

* ITI / Diploma / Vocational Certification in Electrical, Electronics, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related field.

* 1–5 years of experience in home appliance repair, servicing, or refurbishment.

* Experience in refurbishment centers, rental businesses, or service centers will be preferred.

* Freshers with strong technical knowledge and a willingness to learn may also apply.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

* Achievement of daily repair targets.

* Timely completion of QC for returned appliances.

* First-Time-Right (FTR) repair quality.

* Turnaround time for refurbishment.

* Reduction in repeat repairs.

* Compliance with SOPs and safety standards.

* Accurate documentation of repairs and QC activities.

Job Location: Bidarahalli, Bangalore

Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Working Days: 6 Days per Week (Rotational Weekly Off)
