IT Service Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused IT Service Engineer to handle the installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and technical support of laptops, desktops, and related IT hardware across all major brands. The candidate should be capable of diagnosing hardware and software issues and providing on-site and remote technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, and computer hardware of all brands.
• Perform hardware repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
• Motherboard
• RAM
• SSD/HDD
• Display/LCD
• Keyboard and touchpad
• Battery and charging issues
• Adapters and power-related issues
• Cooling/fan-related issues
• Install and configure Windows OS, drivers, applications, and system updates.
• Perform OS installation, formatting, data backup, and system configuration.
• Troubleshoot software, operating system, and application-related issues.
• Install and upgrade RAM, SSD, HDD, and other hardware components.
• Provide on-site service and customer support when required.
• Attend customer service calls and complete assigned service requests within the required timeline.
• Maintain proper records of service calls, repairs, spare parts, and job completion status.
• Coordinate with the Service and Warehouse teams for spare parts and replacement requirements.
• Test systems thoroughly after repair before handing them over to customers.
• Ensure proper handling and safety of customer devices and company equipment.
• Provide technical guidance to customers regarding system usage and maintenance.
• Escalate complex hardware or software issues to the senior technical team when required.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with multiple laptop and desktop brands.
• Knowledge of Windows installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of computer networking and basic LAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
• Ability to identify hardware failures and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Basic knowledge of BIOS/UEFI configuration.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple service calls.
• Willingness to travel for customer site visits when required.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech / BCA / B.Sc. in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related field.
• Relevant technical certification or hands-on experience will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

• 1–4 years of experience in laptop/desktop service and IT hardware support.
• Experience servicing multiple brands such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, Apple, etc., will be an advantage.
