Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Design Engineer to design and develop mechanical components such as sheet metal enclosures, structural frames, bus bar arrangements, for switchgears in Autodesk Inventor

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components such as sheet metal enclosures, structural frames, bus bar arrangement, insulation support and electrical component assemblies for electrical MV and LV switchgears
• 3D drafting for mechanical parts and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor
• Build up and maintain a common parts library
• Interpret engineering specifications and produce compliant drawings
• Perform reverse engineering drawings
• Co-ordinate with production floor for design related issues
• Perform heat dissipation calculations, thermal and structural analysis
• Generate Manufacturing dimension

Qualifications:

• 4-6 year minimum experience
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Good engineering and technical knowledge
• Proficient in CAD tools: Autodesk Inventor
• Experience of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Knowledge in Electrical MV and LV Switchgear design
