Production Engineer

Position: Foundry & Metallurgical Engineer

Location: Peenya Industrial Area, Bengaluru

Experience: 2–5 years preferred

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering, Foundry Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle foundry and metallurgical activities related to pump castings and engineering components.
• Review casting requirements, material specifications, drawings and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with foundry vendors for pattern, moulding, melting, pouring and casting processes.
• Monitor and verify chemical composition, mechanical properties and metallurgical requirements.
• Coordinate spectro analysis, hardness testing, tensile testing, impact testing and other material tests as applicable.
• Review and analyse casting defects such as porosity, shrinkage, inclusions, cracks, blowholes and dimensional deviations.
• Coordinate heat treatment and verify compliance with specified material properties.
• Prepare and review material test certificates (MTC), inspection reports and metallurgical test reports.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for casting and material-related problems.
• Coordinate with design, production, quality and suppliers for resolution of metallurgical issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable ASTM, ASME, IS and customer specifications.
• Maintain records related to material traceability, heat numbers, test results and quality documentation.
