Job Description

We are seeking an experienced EV Charging Infrastructure Lead to drive end-to-end planning, installation, regulatory compliance, and commissioning of Electric Vehicle (EV) Public Charging Stations across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. You will be responsible for site acquisition, DISCOM load approvals, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with local DISCOM/State policies (BESCOM, TANGEDCO, etc.).


Key Responsibilities

  • Site Identification & Acquisition: Identify high-yield commercial hubs, highways, tech parks, and fuel outlets across TN & KA. Negotiate lease terms and land aggregator deals.
  • Utility & DISCOM Liaison: Submit applications and manage power load sanctioning with relevant utilities:
  • Karnataka: BESCOM (via Single-Window EV Cell), MESCOM, HESCOM, CESC Mysuru (utilizing LT-6(c) EV category tariffs and sub-metering setups).
  • Tamil Nadu: TANGEDCO (tariff and load sanction applications).
  • Technical Supervision & Setup: Coordinate civil construction, transformer upgrades (LT/HT line extensions), earthing, and installation of AC (Type-2) / DC Fast Chargers (CCS2, GB/T) adhering to BIS IS-17017 standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Approvals: Secure required clearances, including CEIG (Chief Electrical Inspector to Government) safety approvals, local municipality trade licenses, and fire safety clearances.
  • Policy & Incentive Utilization: Capitalize on state EV policies, land aggregator schemes, and PM E-DRIVE / Capital Subsidies.
  • Operations & Integration: Integrate hardware with CPO (Charge Point Operator) management systems, CMS platforms, payment gateways, and roaming networks.

Key Requirements

  • Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years in EV Charging Infrastructure setup, Electrical EPC projects, power distribution, or renewable energy installation.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of Central Ministry of Power (MoP) guidelines, BIS IS-17017 standards, and state electricity grid codes.
  • Local Expertise: Prior experience liaising with BESCOM and TANGEDCO officials and navigating the EV portals of both states.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English, Tamil, and Kannada (written & spoken) is preferred for field operations and regulatory discussions.
