QS Engineer – Job Description

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka

Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹60,000 per month

Experience: Minimum 2 years

Education: Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering preferred

• Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, estimates, and cost calculations for civil construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine material and labour quantities.
• Prepare and evaluate quotations, rate analysis, and project cost estimates.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, vendors, and project teams.
• Monitor project costs and compare actual expenses with estimated budgets.
• Prepare and verify measurement sheets, bills, and work orders.
• Assist in contractor billing, certification, and payment-related documentation.
• Identify variations in quantities, materials, and project scope.
• Maintain proper records of project quantities, costs, and commercial documentation.
• Support the project team in maintaining cost control and ensuring projects remain within budget.
• RequirementsMinimum 2 years of experience as a QS Engineer / Quantity Surveyor.
• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Good knowledge of quantity estimation, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and billing.
• Ability to read and understand civil construction drawings.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and quantity-surveying software/tools.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Experience in construction/infrastructure projects will be preferred.
