Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to manage electrical works across residential and commercial projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, quality control, contractor management, site coordination and timely completion of electrical works as per approved drawings and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, supervise and manage all electrical installation and execution activities at project sites.

Review and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams and specifications.

Coordinate with Architects, Designers, Civil Engineers, MEP consultants, Project Managers and contractors.

Execute and supervise HT/LT, power distribution, lighting, DBs, cabling, earthing and electrical systems.

Coordinate electrical services with civil, HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting and interior teams.

Ensure proper installation of conduits, cables, cable trays, switches, sockets, panels, DBs and lighting fixtures.

Check electrical layouts and ensure execution is as per approved drawings.

Supervise testing and commissioning of electrical systems.

Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.

Coordinate with electrical contractors and vendors and monitor their performance.

Plan manpower, materials, tools and equipment required for electrical works.

Monitor project progress and ensure completion within the planned schedule.

Review material requirements, specifications and technical submittals.

Verify material quality and ensure only approved materials are used at site.

Identify technical issues and provide timely solutions.

Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and update management on project status.

Coordinate with QS/Billing teams for measurements, quantities and contractor bills.

Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.

Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and site safety procedures.

Support snagging, rectification and final handover of electrical works.

Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site supervisors.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of electrical systems and MEP services.

Excellent knowledge of electrical installation, testing and commissioning.

Strong understanding of electrical drawings and specifications.

Good knowledge of HT/LT systems, DBs, panels, cabling, lighting, earthing and power distribution.

Strong contractor and manpower management skills.

Good project planning and execution capabilities.

Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards and statutory requirements.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.

Good communication and negotiation skills.

Qualification

BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

10+ years of relevant experience in electrical project execution.

Experience in residential, commercial, high-rise or interior fit-out projects will be preferred.
