Store Manager

About Us

We are opening a specialty coffee kiosk inside a busy office building and are looking for an experienced and customer focused Café Store Manager to lead daily operations. We serve freshly brewed specialty coffee and a curated bakery menu to working professionals. As part of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth store operations, maintaining quality standards and delivering an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff allocation and service readiness.
• Prepare espresso-based drinks, filter coffee, cold brew, tea and cold beverages to our recipes and quality standards.
• Lead, train and supervise baristas to ensure consistent beverage quality, efficient service and excellent customer experience.
• Ensure espresso based drinks, filter coffee, cold brew, tea and other beverages are prepared according to recipes and quality standards.
• Manage customer interactions, resolve complaints and maintain strong relationships with regular customers.
• Monitor daily sales, billing, cash handling, UPI and card transactions and ensure accurate end of day reconciliation.
• Manage inventory for coffee beans, milk, bakery items, packaging and other supplies, ensuring timely replenishment and minimal wastage.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for procurement, deliveries and stock availability.
• Maintain FSSAI hygiene and food safety standards, including proper storage, labelling, sanitisation and cleanliness.
• Monitor sales performance, product costs, wastage and operating expenses to meet business targets.
• Ensure coffee machines, grinders, refrigerators, POS systems and other equipment are maintained properly.
• Prepare daily sales reports, stock reports and operational updates for management.
• Identify opportunities to improve service speed, customer satisfaction, repeat business and overall store performance.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in café operations, hospitality, food and beverage or retail management. Candidates with strong supervisory experience may also be considered.
• Working knowledge of coffee, espresso preparation, milk steaming and basic brewing methods.
• Experience in staff supervision, shift scheduling, inventory management and customer service.
• Understanding of POS systems, billing, cash reconciliation and basic sales reporting.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices and FSSAI requirements.
• Good communication skills in English and Kannada or Hindi.
• Strong organisational, problem solving and people management skills.
• Ability to manage a fast paced environment and remain hands on during peak hours.
• Willingness to work weekdays and occasional weekends as required.
