Tender & Estimation

Role & responsibilities

• Study and analyze tender documents, including drawings, specifications, BOQ, scope of work, terms & conditions, and addenda.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and other project documents.
• Prepare cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, subcontractors, and other direct and indirect costs.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations and maintain a database of suppliers and rates.
• Prepare detailed BOQs, rate analysis, summary sheets, and final offer compilations.
• Identify project risks and assumptions and recommend clarifications or deviations, wherever required.
• Ensure compliance with company estimation standards, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams for the preparation of technical proposals.
• Perform sensitivity analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs.
• Ensure tender submissions are accurate, complete, and submitted within the specified deadlines.
• Maintain records of estimates, quotations, and correspondence for future reference.
• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Reporting Manager.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of estimation principles, methods, and cost control.
• Proficient in BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and cost estimation.
• Good understanding of drawings, specifications, and contract terms.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (Advanced), AutoCAD (Basic), and estimation software such as Planswift, Bluebeam, Primavera, or similar.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
