Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our specialized chemical and hazardous goods warehouse in Vadape, Bhiwandi. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience handling various classes of hazardous chemicals, ensuring strict adherence to safety compliance, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory standards.

You will manage inventory, coordinate safe loading/unloading, and maintain a zero-incident safety culture on the warehouse floor.

Key Responsibilities

 Hazardous Goods Management: Oversee the safe receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of various classes of hazardous chemicals and dangerous goods in compliance with statutory norms.

 Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict implementation of warehouse SOPs, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), and local/national safety regulations regarding chemical storage and segregation.

 Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular physical cycle counts, and maintain accurate digital/manual inventory records for chemical goods.

 Team Supervision: Lead and train warehouse staff and handling crew on proper PPE usage, emergency response protocols, spill management, and safe material handling equipment operation.

 Equipment & Facility Maintenance: Ensure regular inspection of safety equipment, fire suppression systems, ventilation, and material handling gear within the facility.

 Incident Prevention: Conduct routine safety audits, identify potential hazards, and take immediate corrective actions to maintain a secure working environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

 Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven supervisory experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, specifically handling hazardous chemicals and dangerous goods.

 Education: Graduate or diploma holder in Logistics, Supply Chain, Chemistry, or a related field.

 Knowledge & Skills:

 In-depth understanding of chemical classes, compatibility segregation, and hazardous material storage guidelines.

 Familiarity with safety compliance, OSHA/local regulatory standards, and emergency spill response procedures.

 Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

 Location: Must be based in or willing to commute regularly to Bhiwandi (Vadape).
