Driver

About the Role

Opulent Decor by Haryana Handlooms is looking for a reliable, responsible and experienced driver who can drive both a personal car and a Tata Ace commercial delivery vehicle. The ideal candidate should have a valid driving licence applicable to the vehicles being driven, good knowledge of Bhubaneswar and nearby areas, and a professional attitude towards work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Car Driving

• Drive the company car safely and responsibly as per assigned requirements.
• Transport management, staff or other authorised persons to designated locations.
• Maintain punctuality and follow assigned schedules.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean and presentable at all times.

2. Tata Ace Driving & Deliveries

• Drive the company's Tata Ace for delivery of curtains, carpets, furnishing materials and other products to customers.
• Ensure goods are transported safely without damage.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods whenever required.
• Verify delivery details and ensure materials reach the correct customer or site.
• Collect delivery acknowledgements or signatures wherever required.
• Coordinate with the store and delivery team to ensure timely deliveries.

3. Vehicle Maintenance

• Check fuel, engine oil, coolant, tyres, brakes and other essential vehicle components regularly.
• Keep both vehicles clean and well maintained.
• Report any mechanical issues, unusual sounds, damage or servicing requirements promptly.
• Maintain basic records of fuel consumption, kilometres travelled and vehicle expenses.
• Ensure vehicles are parked safely at the designated location after duty.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Follow traffic rules and drive safely at all times.
• Maintain a valid driving licence and comply with applicable vehicle documentation and permit requirements.
• Ensure vehicle documents, insurance and pollution certificates are reported for renewal when required.
• Avoid rash driving, unauthorised vehicle use and unnecessary delays.
• Maintain professional behaviour with customers, suppliers and company staff.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 10th pass preferred.
• Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicles being driven, including applicable authorisation for the Tata Ace.
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience preferred.
• Prior experience driving both personal cars and small commercial delivery vehicles.
• Good knowledge of Entire Odisha and surrounding areas.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and road safety.
• Punctual, honest, disciplined and responsible.
• Ability to communicate politely with customers and colleagues.
• Physically capable of assisting with loading and unloading light-to-moderate goods safely.

Salary & Benefits

• Expected fixed salary: ₹16,000–₹20,000 per month.
• Salary will depend on driving experience, licence eligibility and ability to handle both vehicles.
