Solar Project Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Solar Project Manager with strong computer skills, practical knowledge of solar power systems, and experience in government tendering, project coordination, and liaison work in Odisha.

The candidate will be responsible for managing solar projects, preparing tender documentation, coordinating with government departments, monitoring project execution, and ensuring timely completion of assigned work.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage rooftop solar and other solar power projects from tender participation to project completion.

- Identify, review, and participate in government solar tenders through GeM, OREDA, and other relevant e-tender portals.

- Prepare and manage tender documents, technical bids, financial bids, quotations, compliance statements, and supporting documents.

- Coordinate with government departments, government offices, clients, vendors, consultants, and other stakeholders in Odisha.

- Handle liaison and follow-up work related to government tenders, approvals, work orders, inspections, and project documentation.

- Maintain strong computer-based documentation and reporting systems using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email, and online portals.

- Coordinate solar system installation, site surveys, material supply, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.

- Track tender deadlines, submission status, project progress, payment documentation, and compliance requirements.

- Prepare daily and weekly project status reports for management.

- Coordinate with technical teams, field staff, accounts, procurement, and management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, rooftop solar installations, solar components, and project execution.

- Practical knowledge of government tendering, especially solar tenders in Odisha.

- Experience with GeM, OREDA, and government e-procurement portals will be preferred.

- Excellent computer skills, particularly MS Excel, MS Word, email, PDF documentation, and online tender submission.

- Knowledge of tender eligibility criteria, EMD, bank guarantees, technical bid preparation, financial bids, and work orders.

- Good communication, coordination, follow-up, and documentation skills.

- Willingness to travel to project sites and government offices when required.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.

Experience

Candidates with relevant experience in solar project management, solar EPC, government tendering, electrical projects, or government liaison work will be preferred.

Salary and Employment

- Salary: ₹20,000–₹25,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.

- Employment Type: Full-time.

- Job Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

- Candidates with strong solar technical knowledge and proven government tender experience will receive preference.
