Junior Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Junior Design Engineer to support the engineering and design team in developing, modifying, and improving mechanical components, assemblies, and fabrication-related designs.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and modify 2D drawings and 3D models as per engineering requirements.

- Develop detailed drawings with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.

- Assist in designing machine components, structural parts, assemblies, and fixtures.

- Review drawings and ensure compliance with design and manufacturing requirements.

- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, and other departments for design-related issues.

- Incorporate engineering changes and maintain updated drawings and design records.

- Assist in resolving manufacturing and assembly-related design problems.

- Prepare BOMs and other technical documentation.

- Follow company standards, engineering practices, and quality requirements.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of Mechanical Design and Engineering Drawing.

- Knowledge of SolidWorks.

- Understanding of GD&T, tolerances, fits, and material specifications.

- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly.

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

- Good communication and coordination skills.

Education & Experience

- Qualification: Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering.

- Experience: 0–2 years in mechanical design/manufacturing.

- Freshers with good technical knowledge may also be considered.

Preferred

- Prefer- SolidWorks.

- Preferably in the pharmaceutical machinery or process equipment industry

- Experience in machine/structural design or fabrication will be an advantage.

- Knowledge of engineering standards and manufacturing feasibility.
