Computer Operator/cordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized RC Coordinator cum Computer Operator to join our automobile dealership showroom. In this dual role, you will be responsible for handling all vehicle registration documentation, coordinating with the Regional Transport Office RTO, and managing daily data entry and computer operations. You will act as the key link between the dealership, customers, and transport authorities to ensure smooth and timely vehicle deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Vehicle Registration and RTO Coordination

Manage the end-to-end process of temporary and permanent vehicle registration.

Prepare, verify, and submit all necessary documentation to the RTO for new vehicles.

Track the status of RC smart cards, high-security registration plates HSRP, and tax receipts.

Resolve any documentation errors, penalties, or discrepancies raised by the RTO.

Maintain a strong updated knowledge of local transport rules, tax structures, and registration fees.

Computer Operations and Data Management

Accurately enter customer and vehicle data into the dealership management system DMS or CRM software.

Update daily sales, invoicing, registration status, and delivery logs in Microsoft Excel or internal databases.

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management regarding pending registrations and deliveries.

Maintain digital and physical archives of all customer vehicle delivery files, invoices, and insurance papers.

Customer and Internal Support

Provide regular updates to the sales team and customers regarding the status of their registration and RC cards.

Coordinate with the vehicle delivery team to ensure number plates are fitted prior to handover.

Handle customer queries regarding registration delays, choice numbers, or state transfers.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: +2 or a Graduate degree in any stream. A diploma in Computer Applications is a plus.

Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in the automobile industry, specifically handling RTO coordination or dealership back-office operations.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word and experience working with Automobile DMS software. Fast and accurate typing speed is essential.

Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work under tight deadlines, and effective communication skills to deal with customers and government officials.
