**Work schedule: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (Monday to Saturday)

About the role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Visa Filing Counsellor to join the upGrad Study Abroad division. The role involves guiding students through visa procedures, verifying documentation, processing visa applications, and ensuring timely submissions.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of study visa requirements, strong communication skills, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

· Counsel students regarding international education opportunities, admission procedures, and visa requirements.

· Understand students' academic backgrounds, career goals, budgets, and preferred destinations to recommend suitable courses and universities.

· Guide students on admission requirements, country-specific visa eligibility, documentation, financial requirements, application procedures, timelines, and associated costs.

· Fill visa application forms accurately and submit them through appropriate channels, with knowledge of university application portals, admission criteria, and intake deadlines.

· Assist students with Statement of Purpose (SOP) writing and prepare them for university or visa interviews, wherever applicable.

· Coordinate with students and internal teams to ensure timely submission of admission and visa applications.

· Track application status and provide regular updates to students throughout the process.

· Assist students with visa appointments, biometrics, and interview preparation wherever applicable.

· Maintain accurate student records and update application progress in the CRM.

· Achieve counselling, admission, and enrolment targets, wherever applicable.

· Stay updated on university admission requirements, visa policies, and immigration guidelines.

· Ensure a smooth student experience from initial counselling through university admission and visa processing.

Eligibility & Requirements:

· Must be a graduate (any stream)

· 1–4 years of experience in study abroad counselling, international education, overseas admissions or education sales.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Good interpersonal and counselling abilities.

· Ability to understand student requirements and recommend appropriate options.

· Comfortable working with targets and follow-up-driven sales processes.

· Good knowledge of international education destinations and admission processes will be an advantage.

· Experience with CRM systems will be an advantage.

· Candidates with hands-on experience in visa filing and processing for the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or European destinations will be preferred.
