Job Description
The Navigator is responsible for guiding guests through the Marine Kingdom experience, ensuring smooth crowd flow, providing informative and engaging explanations about aquatic exhibits, and maintaining safety and guest satisfaction. This role combines elements of customer service, educational narration, and basic operational coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist guests as they enter different sections of the Marine Kingdom.
- Guide visitor groups through exhibits, explaining marine life, habitats, and conservation efforts.
- Provide directions and information about show timings, feeding sessions, and interactive zones.
- Monitor crowd movement to avoid congestion and ensure a smooth visitor experience.
- Communicate with technical and operations staff regarding any issues or emergencies.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during tours or crowd management.
- Handle guest queries and complaints in a polite and professional manner.
- Assist in evacuation procedures in case of emergencies.
- Report any suspicious activities or damages to the supervisor.
- Support special events, school tours, and VIP visits as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 12th pass or Diploma (preferably in tourism, hospitality, or marine sciences).
- Prior experience in a theme park, aquarium, or tourism-based role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English and local language.
- Passion for marine life and willingness to learn about aquatic ecosystems.
- Confident, friendly, and energetic personality.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Flexible to work on weekends, holidays, and shifts.
Working Conditions:
- Indoor and outdoor environment, including high-humidity aquarium areas.
- Uniform provided.
- Interaction with large groups of people daily.
